The relaxed and informal tours hosted by Discover The Wheatbelt shows the Wheatbelt as a unique and peaceful part of WA, with beautiful scenery which is constantly changing throughout the year.
We also offer tours based in the rural town of Merredin, showing many historic and interesting sites and buildings with fascinating pasts that even many of the locals may never have heard.
Debbie and Martin Morris have a wealth of knowledge in tourism. As tourists, in recent years they have visited 237 of the 247 mainland postcode locations in Western Australia and also travelled extensively in the Northern Territory. This has enabled them to obtain a good insight into tourist operations elsewhere and appreciate what there is to offer closer to home.
Other tours and Charters can be arranged by request.
Country Nostalgia Gallery and Garden is an integral part of the tours and is fast gaining popularity with tourists, with tour buses calling in on a more regular basis.
Michelle Murfit from Country Nostalgia won the Art and Culture, and the Tourism Award Categories at the 2003 Merredin Community Awards and have also featured in the West Australian as well as in an international Pottery magazine.
The major pick up point for the tours is the Merredin Caravan Park and Av-A-Rest Village on Great Eastern Highway Merredin. They have also collected many awards, including the 2003 caravan park category in the 2003 Heartlands Tourism Awards. It is a fantastic place to stay with a variety of accommodation available.
Come and Discover the Wheatbelt, it is a great place to live and visit.
